OC Transpo pass sales data

This is a short one - I received historical monthly pass sales data through an email exchange with OC Transpo staff a few months ago following a failed MFIPPA request. I forgot about it and it languished in my inbox, but I am posting the data now, a few months late.

This data covers the sales for each type of monthly pass (excluding U-Passes) from September 2018 onwards, which includes pre-pandemic and pre-LRT data for comparison's sake.

You can view and download the dataset here

Updated ridership figures

A short post this time.

I've set up a new spreadsheet for OC Transpo's bus ridership figures, covering every period from January 2023 to September 2024. This sheet includes breakdowns by time of day, in addition to overall ridership and weekend/weekday splits.

Link here

I apologize for the pulling of the ridership analysis articles. Once I figure out how I want to write those, I will repost them with newer, and hopefully better, formatting.

Until then.

Bus Ridership Numbers: Initial Thoughts

Through an FOI request to the City of Ottawa, I have obtained OC Transpo's ridership figures for each route, from September 2023 through August 2024. The original version, sent to me by the City of Ottawa, can be found in this link

A cleaned-up version that's easier to read, though missing detail by time of day which will come at a later date, can be found here
